Slightly richer than the original bottling, the Amoroso seasoned casks impart a wonderfully rounded and luscious, fruity sweetness that perfectly compliment the chrisp, dry peat smoke and familiar pepperiness of Talisker. Richly weighted layers of spice, roasted fig and sweet date are sublimely underpinned of the revered maritime peatiness of Talisker.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Pungent and complex with clean, ozone-fresh sea air and seaweed. This is layered over richer, smokier notes, sweet malt, and sultana sweetness from the cask
Palate: An oily-smooth texture that is simultaneously smoky, briny, and sweet with rich fruit. It quickly transitions to a woody spiciness and Talisker’s characteristic peppery “chilli catch”. Luxurious notes of roasted fig and sweet date are prominent.
Finish: Long and powerful. While it starts sweet, it becomes drying with lingering peat smoke and hints of cocoa nibs.

Talisker Distillery.
Founded in 1830, Talisker is from the oldest distillery on the isle of Skye, beside the shore of Loch Harport in the jagged shadow of the peaks of the Cuillin. Made by the sea in every sense, the powerful peat smoke and maritime character of Talisker reflect its storm lashed surroundings. For the Diistillers Edition, the Master Distillerhand selected a small number of casks for double maturation in Amoroso seasoned American Oak.
