Hakushu distillery presents Hakushu 18 Year Old 100th Anniversary Edition 48%, released in 2023. There were an unknown number of bottles in this release.
This whisky has a unique nose of vibrant with top notes of sage, ripe green apples and hints of ripe pineapple, complimented by complex smoke revealing layers of herbal, grapefruit and acacia honey notes on the palate, and topped off by a clean smoke that lingers with undernotes of fresh green citrus finish.

Hakushu
Hakushu takes its name from its home in one of the most famous water areas in Japan. Established in in 1973, Hakushu was a second distillery for the Suntory company. Hakushu water is filtered through Japans southern alps giving a soft, sharp mineral taste. Hakushu is noted for its wide variety of whiskies created using a variety of sizes, shapes of pot stills and various kinds of casks creating diversity at every level of the process. Suntory whisky was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. Suntory’s master blenders have devoted themselves to producing whisky which has received awards and admired around the world. The distillery can be visited but requires strict appointment only with some free experiences available by ballot (Suntory Holdings LTD, 2024).
