This expression has the unmistakable characteristics of the Grant family’s sherry forward house style. Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich sherry influence, featuring notes of dried fruit, marzipan, and Christmas cake. Hints of dark cherry, orange peel, and old leather are also present.
Palate: Powerful and complex, with a strong, drying tannic edge, followed by dark fruits, spices, and a touch of cocoa powder. The high ABV brings out woody, tannic, and dark fruit notes.
Finish: Long, warming, and nutty, with lasting notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, and cloves.

Glenfarclas Distillery.
Glenfarclas has been in the Grant family’s hands since 1865, making it one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland. They produced whisky using time honoured traditions with expressions known to be elegant and robust. This release is a testament to Glenfarclas’s dedication to their craft, and a perfect example of old style Speyside whisky making at its finest.Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to open a dedicated visitor centre in 1973. We still pride ourselves on the warmth of our welcome. We have a range of tours to appeal to everyone from those new to whisky, to the dedicated enthusiast.
