Glendronach distillery presents Glendronach 15 year Old Revival 46%, released in 2015. There were an unknown number of bottles in this release.
This whisky has a unique nose of an intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur, complimented by honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with crescendo of black cherry, angelica and muscavado on the palate, and topped off by a long and enveloping with dark manuka honey, herbal bitters and dark chocolate finish.

Glendronach
One of the oldest licenced distilleries in Scotland, Glendronach was founded by James Allardice in 1826 on the Boynsmill estate. Found in the Forgue valley in Aberdeenshire is named GlenDronach meaning ‘Valley of the Brambles’. It has a history of enterprising owners from the flamboyant James Allardice who founded the distillery, to the ambitious Walter Scott. Although times have moved on the processes used to create the GlenDronach have remained largely unchanged. The distillery uses the same production process it did in 1826, but their hallmark is their pioneership of sherry cask maturation. The distillery has been home to a parliament of rooks who try to nest in the warehouses, distillery legend says that as long as thes birds remain, the whisky will prosper. Each year a handful of individual casks are selected to be bottled as a limited release after a long maturation process. The distillery welcomes visitors to their visitor centre and offer tours (BenRiach, 2024)
