Bruichladdich distillery presents Bruichladdich ROCK’NDAAL 01.1 FEIS ILE 2022 50%, released in 2022. There were 2500 bottles in this release.
This whisky has a unique nose of the blend of octomore, 2 port charlotte and bruichladdich casked in bourbon then sauternes. it has a classic bruichladdich creaminess, a bold freshness, salt spray minerality with malty cereal character, sauternes notes of soft stone fruit and a soft peat influence from port charlotte and octomore to the back, complimented by lingering peat smoke boldens complimenting a lusciously creamy texture, cereal and floral notes with soft stone fruits encapsulated into one dram. a splash of water softens the bolder notes to allow a more floral and balanced biscuity flavour with peatsmoke on the palate, and topped off by a oily (due to the non chill filtering) hints of bourbon and sauternes cask finish.

Bruichladdich
Is found on the Rhinns of the Isle of Islay in Scotland. The distillery produces mainly single malt whisky but also artisanal gin. It is one of eight working distilleries on Islay. Bruichladdich (Brook-laddy) was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers and a state of the art distillery developed from old farm buildings. It changed owners over 40 years several times. It was bought over in 2012 and went into full production in 2013. Today about 16 farms grow barley for the distillery and passionate about the barley used to make their whisky. The distillery welcomes visitors year round for tours and tastings.
