Tullibardine distillery presents Tullibardine 18 Year Old Bourbon and Sherry Casks 43%, released in 2023. There were an unknown number of bottles in this release.
This whisky has a unique nose of characteristic tullibardine bourbon notes of vanilla, caramel, cream soda, sweet nectar and oak intertwined with layers of dried fruit and warming spice, complimented by more spices to be found of nutmeg cinnamon and candied ginger, cushioned with a hint of brown sugar on the palate, and topped off by a smooth and buttery with mellow spice finish.

Tullibardine
The distillery site dates back to 1488 when King James IV of Scotland stopped at a brewery, purchased beer in the first recorded public purchase of beer in Scotland. In 1947 William Delme-Evans found the site to house the Danny burn from Perthshire’s Ochill hills boasting purity and mineral richness and gold deposits. This gave them the ‘drop of pure Highland gold’ The brewery was converted to a whisky distillery and named Tullibardine which means ‘lookout hill’ in Gaelic. It lay silent from 1993-2003 but following investment was reinvigorated in 2011. With a cooperage, maturation warehouse and blending facility all onsite Tullibardine is thriving. It also has a visitor centre and hosts tours (Tullibardine, 2024).
