The Tamdhu 2013 Cask #2197 is a high-strength (58.9% ABV) single-cask bottling matured in an American Oak Sherry Hogshead. It is described as a rich, fruit-forward whisky featuring notes of vanilla, soft fudge, and tropical hints, selected by the distillery team as a standout, naturally colored, and unchill-filtered release.This specific 2013 vintage cask was chosen by the Tamdhu distillery team from Warehouse 1-1 to showcase their sherry-matured house style. It is a limited release, often yielding around 345 bottles, and emphasizes the fruity, creamy nature of American oak sherry maturation

In 1898 our founders created a Tamdhu tradition, securing  a first previous shipment of sherry casks from Spain, Today, Tamdhu matures exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks, nothing less. This scarce wood bears two great gifts, colour and taste. Finally, Tamdhu 21 year old is bottled un-chillfiltered. A magnificent Speyside single malt for the sherry wood connoisseur.
