Rosebank distillery presents Rosebank 25 year old 1981, released in 2007. There were 4710 bottles in this release.
This whisky has a unique nose of waxy, sweet honey. sweet orange, some butterscotch, fudge, spices (clove). rye bread, some wine-like characteristics. floral notes eventually fight their way through, along with gingered melon, complimented by oak,hot pepper and spice. full and oily with malt coming through to spar with the spices on the palate, and topped off by a the clove and cracked black peppercorn finish.

Rosebank fired into life in 1840 on the banks of the Forth & Clyde canal, just west of Falkirk in the heart of the Lowlands. The distillery was founded by James Rankine, a local wine merchant, and within forty years the Rankine’s were shipping their whisky half way around the world to Australia…
