Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright orange zestand red apple skinlead the way followed by a subtle hint of Maraschino cherry and glance of candied chestnuts. Deep notes of walnuts, dark chocolate, and muscovado sugar add warmth and richness.
Palate: Mouth coating and warmingfrom the first sip, with a burst of sticky marmalade sweetness and stewed apples. Layers of cappuccino, dark chocolate, mixed spice unfold, balance by notes of candied citrus peel and dried figs.
Finish: Long and lingering, with warm, soft tannins and a gentle thread of spice. A memorable conclusion that echoesthe richness of the palate.

Glengoyne Disdtillery.
Back in 1820 George Connell secretly and illegally began distilling, avoiding the Exciseman, at Burnfoot Farm. Crucially George makes the decision to use In 1833 he decided to work within the law and acquire a licence to distill at Glenguin of Burnfoot.
It was in 1907 when the name changed to the Glengoyne distillery by the distillery manager, William McGeachie. In 1966 the distillery was re-built to its present form to cope with demand.
In 2003 the distillery was bought from the Edrington Group by family owned business Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd. In 2014 the old barley kiln was converted into the Warehouse No.1 housing a display of oak casks.
Today the distillery offers Warehouse No.1 tours, tasting tours, malt master tours, masterclass tours and welcomes group visits. Open 7 days the shop offers a range of whiskies to buy and served by friendly staff (Ian McLeod Distillers LTD 2024)
