This whisky has a unique nose of a fresh salinity of islay and is fruity and floral notes. interestingly for an islay whisky, the ‘bruichladdich’ range from the bruichladdich distillery is made without peat to “expose the brilliance of our raw ingredient-barley”, complimented by obvious bruichladdich charateristics of sea minerality balanced with lychee, honeyed peach, tropical fruits, ripe melon and sweet mango on the palate, and topped off by a sauternes soft and sweet influence married with the ex bourbon and french oak finish.

Bruichladdich
Is found on the Rhinns of the Isle of Islay in Scotland. The distillery produces mainly single malt whisky but also artisanal gin. It is one of eight working distilleries on Islay. Bruichladdich (Brook-laddy) was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers and a state of the art distillery developed from old farm buildings. It changed owners over 40 years several times. It was bought over in 2012 and went into full production in 2013. Today about 16 farms grow barley for the distillery and passionate about the barley used to make their whisky. The distillery welcomes visitors year round for tours and tastings.
