Speyside

Speyside is a breathtaking area sitting in the fertile valleys and rivers surrounding the River Spey and is almost half of Scotland’s whisky output. Speyside is said to be the warmest and driest

area in Scotland and have the world-famous Malt Whisky Trail and Speyside Whisky Festival in early May which worldwide visitors regard as whisky heaven.

Most of the world-renowned whiskies are created within the region and is the mostly densely populated with the most distilleries in the world. Distilleries can define their whisky as either Highland or Speyside. Speyside whisky typically show fruity, honeyed and well as vanilla and spice often matured in sherry casks.
